Little Things Mean A Lot....

Little things mean a lot...awareness of subtler muscle movement and engagement make the difference between struggling with an Asana and enjoying exploring an Asana.

This week we're going to learn more about shoulders and upper back muscles and how to increase strength and freedom of movement in those areas. We'll then add what we have learned to our Asana practice.

The article here https://www.yogajournal.com/…/tiffany-cruikshanks-4-steps-s… describes a series of movements to engage and increase awareness of the muscles in your back and shoulders that provide strength and stability in Asanas where there is weight in your hands.

Founder of Yoga Medicine (yogamedicine.com); the author. Tiffany Cruickshank, is internationally acclaimed due to her ability to fuse the two worlds of eastern & western medicine together & apply it to the practice of yoga in an accessible & relevant way.

She has been teaching for over 20 years, has a premed Bachelor’s degree in Medicinal Plant Biology & a Masters in Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine with a specialty in Sports Medicine & Orthopedics. Her teaching methods combine the western knowledge of the body (anatomy, kinesiology & physiology) with the eastern tradition of yoga.

I have a printable version of the guided movements described in the article. Message me if you would like a copy.

See you in class! Namaste
